Welcome to Our Adventures

We are thrilled to share that Wirral Forest: Wellbeing CIC has received funding from the National Lottery Community Fund to support our work over the next 18 months. This incredible support from National Lottery players enables us to continue offering our free, inclusive community well-being walks, expand our reach across Wirral, and provide additional support for our volunteers and local communities. Thanks to this funding, more people can access safe, welcoming spaces to walk, connect, and thrive — helping to improve physical and mental health while building stronger, connected communities.

Bringing People Together Through Nature

Wirral Forest: Wellbeing CIC – Walk, Connect, Thrive

At Wirral Forest: Wellbeing CIC, we believe that a walk is a walk… or is it? Each step in nature is an opportunity to be active, be curious, be connected, be present, and be kind—the Five Ways to Well-being that guide everything we do. Our free, inclusive walks create supportive spaces where everyone feels heard, valued, and part of a community. By harnessing the restorative power of nature, we help people overcome isolation, build confidence, and strengthen meaningful connections.

Based on the Wirral Peninsula, our work is rooted in the parks, shores, and countryside that make this region so special. From gentle strolls in local parks to immersive experiences along our green and blue spaces, nature connection provides a holistic approach to well-being, supporting both mental and physical health. Every walk is more than a walk—it’s a chance to pause, connect, and thrive.

Our initiative works hand in hand with local community groups, social enterprises, and well-being projects. Together, we create opportunities for people to support each other, discover new experiences, and feel included, building stronger, healthier communities across Wirral.

Your support helps us continue providing free, life-changing walks for those facing isolation or mental health challenges. We welcome partnerships with businesses and organisations who share our vision—together, we can reach more people, strengthen community ties, and make a lasting impact.

Resilience, Well-being, and the Outdoors

The Power of Nature for Well-being

Spending time in nature can help reduce stress, lift your mood, and even improve physical health. Our walks bring these benefits straight to your local community, creating spaces where people can relax, breathe, and feel better in mind and body.

Guided Outdoor Experiences

Our team of experienced walk leaders and outdoor educators helps make every walk meaningful. We support people to connect with nature, notice the world around them, and reflect in a safe and welcoming environment.

Building Confidence and Resilience

Our walks are more than just a stroll in the park. They help people build confidence, develop resilience, and strengthen everyday life skills, empowering everyone to face challenges with renewed energy and a sense of support from their community.
